A new goal for the sustainable innovation in wood coatings

IVM Group takes part in the LIFE Program of the European Union

LIFE is a program of the European Union to promote protection of the environment, nature and biodiversity by financially supporting green economy projects.

In particular, it encourages the efficient use of resources in all industrial sectors, pollution prevention, waste reduction and the sustainable management of natural resources.

IVM Chemicals, the company carrying out the production activities of IVM Group, signed onto the LIFE Program to develop UV-cured wood coatings made of bio-renewable raw materials. For their production, a 30% yearly reduction in CO2 emission is forecasted, calculated by Life Cycle Assessment of the current production processes.

This Project is called Life BioPaint.
